Thank you for visiting the Investments in Youth (I-in-Y) website. We hope you enjoy reading about our goals and objectives as well as our programs and activities.

The idea for I-in-Y grew out of a program begun in 2002 called Youth Appreciation Day (YAD). It provided a combination of great fun and entertainment along with powerful, professionally delivered presentations concerning issues that both challenge and threaten teens and young adults. In 2005, the organizers of YAD joined forces with the Youth Center in the city of Hudson, New York to provide at-risk and under-privileged youth with a broad spectrum of academic, cultural, athletic, and character-building programs and activities. All these programs place a heavy emphasis on the importance of good character and a positive self-image.

Goal
Our goal is to work closely with the Hudson Youth Center, the local school district, and other youth serving community based organizations to provide constructive use of free time with character building activities that work to reduce risky and disruptive behaviors among at-risk youth by increasing their options for a healthy and successful lifestyle. I-in-Y will achieve its objective of building character and positive self image through a multitude of programs and activities which are designed to enhance interactions, respect, and achievement.
