Take a look at what we’ve been doing here
at www.investmentsinyouth.com

Dear Friend:

Are you tired of searching for a comfortable balance between high returns on your investments without excessive risk? Do you immediately suspect any claim of guaranteed appreciation with absolutely no downside exposure? Well there is one such investment vehicle that in its first year of existence has done just that.

It’s called “Investments in Youth” (I-in-Y) and its risk-free returns have become the talk of the town. No matter that the currency isn’t dollars and cents, but rather young hearts and minds, the dividends have still been immeasurable. I-in-Y is a privately funded program launched last year to offer help and hope to the at-risk youth population in the greater Hudson area. Our motto is “Character Counts… Everywhere…All of the Time” and we work in close partnership with the Hudson Department of Youth and the local school district to provide a wide range of innovative, character-building programs from Karate classes to Chess Club; from summer camp at Bard College to academic scholarships for college-bound Seniors, from sponsoring four promising young leaders to attend the West Point Military Academy’s Ethics Conference to helping to sponsor one very special high school student on a humanitarian trip to Uganda, to starting a new program called “TeamWork” providing summer jobs to inner-city youth.

In fact, I would ask you to please take a moment to check out all our programs at www.investmentsinyouth.com. Then, you will better appreciate what Youth Commissioner, Joe Reina, means when he says, “In just its first year of operation, I-in-Y has established itself as one of the most effective programs for youth in the greater Hudson area”.

And here is the best part. Investments in Youth has been so successful and the demands for its programs so great, that it is now ready to “go public”. We would like to offer the merchants and business community of Hudson and surrounding towns an opportunity for ownership in this grass roots success story. It’s one of those rare occasions where you get to do well by doing good – a guaranteed high rate of return for all involved.

Kindly review the levels of “investment” and decide how you want to lend your support to this community effort. Please join First Niagara Bank, Bank of Greene County, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, Thrivent Financial, Mid-Hudson Cablevision, The Alight Center, Stewart’s Shoppe and others who have already invested in the youth of Hudson. Then, we can all feel gratified as we watch our assets grow.

Sincerely,
Maria Suttmeier
Director

Character Counts…Everywhere…All the Time.
Take stock in our most valuable assets.
It’s a guaranteed return for all!

Investments in Youth is a not-for-profit endeavor which works hand in hand with the Hudson Youth Center to design and implement its programs. As a result, funding for I-in-Y is channeled through the Hudson Development Corporation which is officially recognized 501(c)3 charitable organization. Consequently, all funds donated on behalf of I-in-Y are deposited in a specially segregated account of the Hudson Development Corporation and earmarked for exclusive use by I-in-Y.

In 2005, the inauguration year for I-in-Y, its annual budget was $60,000. Over 80 percent of these funds were raised through private contributions and the remainder solicited from local foundations and corporate entities. As our programs and activity increase in size and scope over the years, it is expected that there will be a more balanced funding mix between private, public, and corporate benefactors.

As a result of the increased demand for our programs and services, the 2006 annual budget will increase to $75,000.

If you are interested in making a contribution to I-in-Y, you can make a tax- deductible contribution payable to Hudson Development Corporation and mail it to Investments in Youth, 215 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson, NY 12534 to the attention of Maria Suttmeier.
