Twenty youths between the ages of 5 - 13 took advantage of the opportunity to learn discipline, respect and other character-building principles inherent in the study of Marital Arts. A Black Belt Instructor from a prominent local Martial Arts School offers weekly sessions at the Hudson Youth Center. The program will also include a "Self Defense Night" designed specifically for the young ladies and any of their mothers who would like to take advantage of the program. Investments in Youth will also underwrite the costs for uniforms and training gear for those students who demonstrate commitment and dedication to the program.

Many of the students advanced from white to yellow belts. The program has proven to be so popular that it will continue throughout the summer
